the picture prompt/shipping prompt memes are ones that are switched between on thursdays. it's thursday. the other meme having a similar one-off prompt that's not actually part of the scheduled posting isn't fault of the people posting on schedule.

the schedule in the bakerstreet rules posts says nothing about that tho. with the ship prompts meme already up and providing a picture prompt option, it would make much more sense to post the regular picture prompt (which doesn't even exclude shippy prompts) or the texting picture prompt.

that's fair. the reason i know about it is because it's been discussed in report posts and discussion posts before and i believe it was mentioned in a mod post or people just generally took it at face value after it started happening. but i distinctly remember there being a discussion about switching between the shipping picture and the regular picture prompt memes and not the shipping and smut ones and why they were all different and that's mainly because one of them is always going to be nsfw and the other two can be whatever, so blend the other two or switch between them off and on and leave the smut one since that was (i believe) the more popular one at the time. there were fights over the smutty pic prompt meme because it kept getting posted earlier and earlier and i'm coming home to it on mid-saturday afternoon when it's supposed to be a sunday meme.

that's kind of one of the reasons i got tired of bs and have been staying off it lately, tbh. everyone's so thirsty to be 'first' to post a meme, they just overflood and keep pushing it more and more and i was tired of it.

but back to your point, the mods should add it to the pinned rule at the top because it was an actual decision they came to and i can legit see why someone would miss that and think otherwise.

i've only recently returned to bakerstreet after a long break so thank you for explaining all that! if that's the case, the schedule should definitely be updated to reflect the decision made in those discussions.

but also it makes me wonder: where does that leave the texting picture prompt meme? does it count as a picture prompt (even though the premise of the meme is different in that it's characters icly sending a picture to each other as opposed to players oocly providing pictures to base a scene on) and if so, how does that slot into the alternating schedule? i'd love to hear from the mods about this.

I did count is as a regular picture prompt meme and asked that another one didn't get put up that week when it was first introduce.

I believe it's been posted twice so far though?
