Okay, no. I don't know what's going on. I'm c/ping from an old meme and trying to post a new one, and every time I 'post' the new meme, I get a page telling me it's posted. However, when I go to the actual post, it's the old post and nothing new is showing up.
ETA: I managed to post it, but I had to open it from my posting journal as opposed to just c/ping over the format from the last version I posted on the 15th of April. Every time I'd try, it would just keep showing me to that post, even though I made sure the date was current and I even 'edited' it after backtracking and updated the date. I don't know if this is an ongoing issue or if anyone else has had it, but this is a first for me.

Hmmm. That doesn't sound like something I've encountered before.

I'm glad you figured out a way around it - but I'll still recommend a cache refresh for whatever browser you're using, and possibly a bug report to dreamwidth? (They'll have a better idea as to whether it's a new bug or not, as well as other possible solutions)

Cache refreshe was the first thing I did, along with browser reset. I'll have to put it into DW.

Since the sexting meme is a regularly scheduled meme, it can end up causing that exact scenario of overlap.

While other options are open on both memes, texting really has taken precedence as the go-to choice of taggers since it's relatively faster.

chiming in, but it's kind of irrelevant. go back in the comm. that meme was grandfathered in as allowable mid-week within the 2 week rules because of the itty bitty variety and it's not exactly the same, but close enough. you're complaining about something that's been going on for probably over a year at this point. they aren't going to kibosh it and they shouldn't. just don't play in it.

i wish more people just left stuff alone instead of trying to recurate the comm to their specific dnw preferences.

People do not use it entirely the same. Not all muses/players want to tag into the sexting one because they’re not looking for straight sexting/sex.
I know, unpopular opinion, but just because they are similar does not make them the same and some people feel more comfortable posting in a shipping one to just be fluffy rather than sexy.

Not trying to make waves just better justify that they are different.
