not entirely sure about why the love letters + shippy texts meme is being allowed to be posted on the same day as the sexting/phone sex meme. aside from similar concepts, it's another texting meme that isn't exactly necessary.

I know that there was an exception made during Valentine's day as a holiday-topical meme, I think it's been cropping up every few weeks or so...

I'm running some ideas past the other mods as probably solutions to this happening again, and will share pending feedback

it's hard to track it because the poster is mixing up the wording on the memes so i can't just ctrl+f it:

https://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/6355160.html#comments - love letters + shipping texts - april 15th

https://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/6379966.html - love messages + shippy texts - april 28th

so even then, they're a day short of the 2 week rule, and it's more noticeable when it's literally posted on the same day as the sexting meme. me personally, i'd be okay with it being a monthly thing, but i'm not sure if the pushing it for the same day is intentional or not. v day was on a friday, so it wasn't so bad then. it's become more of one lately, especially with oversaturation of similar stuff.

can't edit, but https://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/6325390.html - april 1st

https://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/6297747.html - march 18th

https://bakerstreet.dreamwidth.org/6271979.html - march 4th

so they've been making it a biweekly thing as opposed to a random once in a while thing. it's slowly made its way back from friday to tuesday. and it might keep shifting days to fall on tlfn or gen texting meme days too. if it's going to be allowed and added as a staple, it should be a scheduled monthly thing, like word association or midnight texts.

That's definitely one of the possible solutions
