is there a way to stop someone from musedumping all their characters? i understand 3-4 but when it takes up a whole page, or page and a half, that seems a little excessive.

Could you block the IP address of serviceface, the player doesn't remember all or her accounts and passwords and she'd like to leave BS, but if she's not blocked she won't be able to resist and she'll return. Thanks.

This lies beyond the scope of moderation for bakerstreet.

However, blocking a site is possible through add-ons such as Stayfocused (Chrome) or BlockSite (Firefox/chrome)


Also IP blocking is not a feature offered by dreamwidth, nor do we track user IPs. There's also the possibility that different people share the same IP address so that's not a viable solution.

Entirely ot to the above but ip logging is on for bs. I really wish you guys would turn out off since its available to posters as well as the mods and anyone can post a meme, including obsessive stalkers and other wankers. Danzys a known wanker and she posts the popular gen text meme.

It's one things for the mods to have it if they HAVE to have it on, but it shouldn't be available to just any player or meme poster.

I understand what you’re saying and I will see what can be shifted on BS itself so that only moderators can see IP addresses, but they are unfortunately necessary because of abusive players.

IP logging is for anon only though right? At least those are the settings now.

In the main comm, no anon comments are able to be posted there anymore, IPs will only show up in the concerns/problems posts for anon users.

Just for the record, but I post memes here semi-frequently and ip logging is not viewable to meme posters. I just went and checked and there's nothing for me. It's on here for anon posters, but it's certainly not on in bakerstreet itself. At least, not for meme posters.

just a side note that now the image of the sparkly font isn't loading for me anymore on this post, and when i try to load it in a new tab, it says "file is not a known image type".

it was working fine up until early this morning.

As for the profile page not loading, I used to think it was just something to do with my own, slow internet. It didn't occur to me that the issue was more wide-spread, but thankfully someone else reported it.
