the word association meme is going up in the next day to three days. it seems this meme always tries to fall on/around the same time. as the w/a is monthly and scheduled, it feels like this one's trying to preempt it and doing it in a weird way that's similar but not really. perhaps you could discuss with the poster about being more aware of when they post it? i don't want to see someone coming here to throw shade at whoever posts the scheduled meme because 'this is too close'.

Are shippy/smutty/gen versions of the same meme considered the same meme for take down duplicates reasons? Or at least can we post a gen version of a shippy/smutty meme for people who don't want shippy/smutty without it getting taken down?

Someone keeps posting the "spicy" version of two truths one lie and if it counts as the same meme as the gen version, the gen version can never get posted.

Maybe there should be a rule where if both the gen and shippy/smutty versions are popular, the gen version has to be posted before the shippy/smutty version can be posted again?

Can we have a rule that memes aren't allowed to put down/insult other memes in order to try to make themselves more attractive? It's just negative and catty, and creates an air of hostility. No one comes to a meme comm wanting to have their favorite genres and tropes insulted.
